Allweiler pumps are ready for low-sulfur diesel in ships
Allweiler AG, a member of Colfax Corporation, is already delivering fuel pumps that are adapted for use with new low-sulfur diesel oil. The company employs an analytical program that shows conversion options or suitable replacements for pumps that are already in service. National and international regulations now require low-sulfur fuels, especially in coastal areas and while ships are in port.

Colfax Names Arne Forslund Vice President of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia
Colfax Corporation (NYSE:CFX) today announced that Arne Forslund has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia effective immediately. In this position he will also be CEO of Allweiler AG. Furthermore he will be responsible for the Company's global commercial marine strategy. Dr. Michael Matros, Senior Vice President and CEO of Allweiler AG has resigned. Frank Kirchner will still be CFO and member of the Executive Board at Allweiler.

Allweiler Pumps Detect and Prevent Leaks on Ships
In response to elevated safety and environmental regulations on ships, Allweiler AG, a Colfax business unit, has begun equipping its "SNS" series of screw pumps with the optional "Allseal" intelligent leak-detection and -collection system. These pumps are used primarily to move diesel fuel and lubrication oils on ships.

Allweiler wins major order for Irish power plant
In March 2009, Allweiler AG, a subsidiary of Colfax Corporation supplied an Irish customer with ten pumps for moving oily water. The order was closed in cooperation with Allweiler’s Swiss partner schubag. The pumps are used in a gas/steam combined-cycle power station constructed in Aghada, Ireland by Swiss firm Alstom AG. The client is state-owned power company ESB Power Generation. The order is valued at over 200,000 €.

Allweiler establishes new global service centers for high-pressure pumps
Allweiler’s new global service centers for its Emtec series of pumps will enable the company to more efficiently serve tool-machine customers around the world. These high-pressure pumps are used primarily to move critical cooling lubricants in tool machines. Service centers in Europe, the United States, and Asia will provide Allweiler customers with on-site advisory and maintenance services plus emergency service and rapid spare parts delivery. Allweiler is subsidiary of Colfax Corp.

Allweiler introduces new “Allfuel” series of pumps for lubricating liquids
Allweiler AG, a business unit of Colfax Corporation, has been delivering its new “Allfuel“ series of screw pumps to customers since May. The new series is designed to move oils and other lubricating liquids with a maximum discharge pressure of 40 bar. Allfuel pumps are available in six different construction types, allowing them to adapt to a variety of pumping tasks and installations. Special Allfuel material combinations comply with the most recent regulations requiring ships.

Colfax provides pumps worth $2 million for new oil pipeline in Gabon
At the end of last year Colfax Corporation delivered fifteen pumps and two pump skids to French oil and gas concern Maurel et Prom. The products are used in an oil field in Gabon. They transport crude oil more than 140 km, clean the pipeline with high-pressure water, and help treat the oil and improve its flow properties. The pumps were manufactured by Colfax companies Allweiler and Warren; the pump skids were produced by Imo.

Econo-pack for ALLWEILER customers
Allweiler AG has begun offering its customers original spare parts kits for all standard pumps. They contain all of the parts that must be replaced on a regular basis during standard maintenance and which have similar usage cycles. The packages are designed to save the customer money by providing immediate access to all of the parts needed to completely finish repairs and maintenance.

Allweiler will present innovative pump sealing technology at the Norshipping trade fair (stand C02-12). Screw pumps made by Allweiler AG are now available with a new opto-electronic module for clean and secure operation. Known as "ALLSEAL”, this intelligent technology provides safety against uncontrolled leaks and detects wear of the mechanical seal as soon as it begins. The result is an economical alternative to hermetically sealed magnetic couplings.

Allweiler's Bottrop plant turns 50
In 2009 Allweiler AG’s plant in Bottrop, Germany will celebrate its 50th birthday. This plant specializes in manufacturing progressing cavity pumps and peristaltic pumps. Throughout the year of celebrations, Allweiler plans to launch an explosion of ideas, products, innovative services, and consulting options. The Achema trade fair in Frankfurt (hall 8.0, booth R17) will be the first opportunity for Allweiler customers to evaluate the new offerings.

Safe and Clean: Allweiler Pumps with Allseal
Screw pumps made by Allweiler AG are now available with a new opto-electronic module. Known as "Allseal”, this new product detects wear of the mechanical seal as soon as it begins and immediately warns the operator of any leaks. The pump can then be automatically switched off and pumping tasks switched over to a secondary unit.

Allweiler pumps now with "life insurance"
Allweiler AG now offers additional protection for the longevity of its pumps: “Allready Box”, a new electronic module that continuously monitors a pump’s operational state. In the event of operational deviations or disturbances, Allready immediately emits a warning. In urgent cases it triggers an alarm and even has the ability to switch the pump off in hazardous conditions and switch over to a secondary unit.

For many years progressing cavity pumps, peristaltic pumps, and macerators manufactured by Allweiler AG have fulfilled the requirements for use in potentially explosive gaseous atmospheres when used properly. But now – since end 2008 – they are also certified for use in dust-laden explosive atmospheres.

Allweiler exhibits its pump competency at SMM
Allweiler AG, Europe’s leading pump manufacturer for Marine and Offshore applications, will be exhibiting its extensive selection of pumps and complete systems at SMM in Hamburg from September 23 to 26. Allweiler is located at booth 143 in hall A2. Its product line includes pumps for the engine room and in addition all types of pumping units for a ship’s infrastructure. Allweiler elevates the status of stators
Allweiler AG is moving its stator production from Hamburg to Bottrop. By September, the Bottrop plant will produce all stators used in its progressing cavity pumps. New machinery and accelerated production procedures will further optimize production.

German pump technology for sewage plants in Algeria
(Radolfzell/Bottrop) Construction of four new sewage plants is currently underway in Algeria and pumps from Allweiler AG are playing key roles. Allweiler worked with the plant builder to deliver 48 progressing cavity pumps and macerators. Technological benefits of Allweiler pumps and the company's on-site presence were two big reasons why Allweiler was awarded the contract.

Immersed lube-oil pump with higher power
(Radolfzell/Germany) Allweiler AG has expanded the performance range of its ALLUB® RUV vertically immersed screw pump. Maximum capacity has been boosted to 1300 l/min. or more than 30-percent higher than before. The pump/motor assembly is delivered complete with covering plate and pipework, making it ready for installation in an oil reservoir.
