The Colfax Business System

The Colfax Business System is a comprehensive management system that was designed to deliver world-class performance.

The main characteristics of the Colfax Business System

The voice of the customer and the full participation of all employees are directed towards improving quality, facilitating timely delivery and lowering costs for the purpose of increasing customer satisfaction. The Colfax Business System provides the management tools necessary for achieving specific business objectives with the participation of all employees.

Origin of the Colfax Business System
The Colfax Business System was modeled on highly successful processes rooted in the Toyota Production System, which is recognized around the world as the defining standard in manufacturing.

The Danaher Corporation, brought into being in the 1980s by Colfax founders Steven and Mitchell Rales, adapted these proven methods for use in American manufacturing. The results were so successful that Danaher's management instituted this system at all Danaher companies.

Continuous growth
Colfax adopted these methods in 1997. Since that time, they have been continually adding new tools and processes in order to keep pace with the demands of a constantly changing market.

The business procedures change constantly, but the guiding principles of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction remain unaltered.
